porque este mundo es increíble.

i love tumblrs. because people these days are so quick to judge and if you happen upon this site, you get a whole different perspective of someone you thought you knew.

because sometimes we don't speak aloud all we want to say. and written words preserve the moment's intensity.

“It is necessary to write, if the days are not to slip emptily by. How else, indeed, to clap the net over the butterfly of the moment? For the moment passes, it is forgotten; the mood is gone; life itself is gone. That is where the writer scores over his fellows: he catches the changes of his mind on the hop.”

Vita Sackville-West

Anonymous asked: maybe he is depressed, but then again, so are a lot of people in our school. we just can't ever tell. people can seem normal on the outside, but we never know what they do/think when they're by themselves. and sometimes depression can make people's lives dysfunctional, which is probably why doing homework might have been an issue for him. i mean, depression can just make people not want to do anything, sometimes not even talk or live, maybe just exist, which is easier than committing suicide.

it’s just shocking how he’s a quiet guy that got lost in the masses and really depressed. i’m not sure if it’s right to say a lot of people in our school are depressed, but probably more than just ricky. yknow, asian american youth have unusually high depressive symptoms. it’s crazy- so much of it is fueled by the culture itself- the lack of outward affection, the idea of the need for hard work to get you far, sometimes to unreasonable extents
